The scaffolding had been dismantled just in time for the Reyk Höhne's report about the restoration of the famous frieze "Apollo and the Muses". The Muses are now shining as 200 years ago, illuminated with LEDs in the dark.
That was our 2020 Theatres Exploration Trip to Potsdam
Our first theater tour abroad took us to Stettin, the old capital of Pomerania. Again, it was cheapest by bus. We stayed (with a few exceptions) in the Parkhotel.
The afternoon was completely filled with a four-hour culinary tour of the city. And in the evening a great concert awaited us in the new Philharmonie.
Saturday began with a visit to the City Museum. The Day of the Seas (similar to the HanseSail) made us happy with hype and traffic diversions. In the evening we went to the opera "The Potion of Love".
On Sunday, the bus only brought us close to the ship that took us through the picturesque Oderhaff to Swinemünde. Since there was no food on the ship, we headed for Karl's strawberry farm when we arrived on Usedom. We were quickly full and started our journey home tired.
